3C PLayer Model

A 3C player has Cognition, Character and Competence. Cognition in a player comes from the decisoin making process in every enviornment. How do they process the information around them and make the correct decisions based on that information. Character shows us what the player mentality is like when things get hard. How they respond to adversity, if they have humility, and if they have the emotional intellegence to understand when each is needed. Competence is the skill set of the player. If they have done well with cognition and character, can they also achieve there desired result based on their skills. Often time people have the right solution but do not have the skills to deliver what they need to based on the proper decision.

Cognition Competence Character
Perception Ball Control Positive
Conception Movement Respectful
Decision Position Play Ambitious
Execution Principles of Play Confident
Assessment Reflective Resilient

PLayer Development PAthway

Starting with the Seedlings, the players continue to grow and develop with the ambition of playing High School, College, and even beyond!

Most importantly, the pathway leads to the continued growth of the players as individuals in order to "Maximize Potential in Life and Sport."

This Summer Soccer program is designed to keep players active over the summer months and get touches on the ball with training and play competitively in games with tournaments. We know that the Summer months are busy for some people so we understand that players may miss some practices which is fine! We will be looking to get the most out of all of the players so that they head into their Fall seasons tuned in and ready to go.

Re: USYS Return-to-Activity Guidelines

While we are all anxious to jump on the field and start playing, we need to be cognizant of our communities rules and requirements. It is our goal to maintain a spirit of fun and enjoyment, while making sure we comply with all local rules in order to better protect the health of our community. Things may initially be very different than what we're all familiar with, but hopefully each phase will allow for the introduction of more and better programming. We are excited to have the chance to see all of you soon, and we hope this phased approach to play will take us back to playing the game we love sooner versus later.

We will continue to follow government directives while also seeking advice from State and local medical professionals and/or public health officials about applicable, permissible activities and timelines in our State. These guidelines address only early phases of return-to-play (when appropriate for Connecticut) and additional guidelines may, or may not, follow as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve.

As we get closer to a return CJSA will provide further, specific details.

We hope to see you all safe, healthy and on the field soon.
