Nate Roberts returns to Vale for his 4th season as a head coach for Vale Sports Club. Nate, who is also the Sprouts & Seedlings Lead, has tons of experience and education in the youth game and has been integral in the growth and development of the Club.
At Vale, Nate leads our Grassroots Programs, Sprouts & Seedlings which is all about the youngest soccer players and is the Head Coach of the 2016 Boys.
Nate started his coaching career at UK International Summer Camp where, through his positive and outgoing attitude, he continued to make connections and grow as a coach. Nate then coached at New Haven Youth Soccer Club, Hamden Hall School as the JV Soccer, and was the owner of Fun First Sports Coaching in the UK. Nate eventually became a Head Coach and Program Director at South Central Premier before eventually joining Vale and overseeing the Grassroots programs at the club. He has over 15 years of coaching and teaching in both CT and the UK and is also the Vale Club Ambassador, responsible for initiating conversations and connections with other programs and people. Nate played at Ruston Sports FC in England and at Lincoln College also in the UK.
He holds his FA Level 1, FA Level 2, USSF Grassroots Coaching, USC Director of Coaching, USC Futsal Level 1, USC Goalkeeping Level 1, and USC Small Sided certificates.
Nate graduated from Lincoln College with a degree in Sports & Exercise Science and lives in New Haven, Connecticut with his 2 sons and wife. Nate is currently a Fitness Teacher at Cold Spring School which is for children Pre-K through 6th Grade.
