us soccer age group changes

As part of ongoing efforts to align player development pathways nationally, US Youth Soccer, AYSO and US Club Soccer has announced age group changes for the 2026/27 season. At Vale SC, we are committed to ensuring that players and families are well-informed and prepared for this transition.

What’s Changing?

Beginning with the 2026/27 season, players will be reclassified into new age groups as per US Soccer's updated guidelines. We are moving aways from the January 1st-December 31st cut off to August 1st-July 31st.  These changes in the eye of our governing body are designed to provide better developmental opportunities and maintain consistency across youth soccer programs nationwide keeping children more in sync with school year.

Our Commitment at Vale SC

At Vale SC, our priority is the growth and well-being of every player. We understand that these changes may bring questions or uncertainty, especially regarding team dynamics and friend groups. That’s why we’re taking a proactive approach to help our community navigate this shift with confidence and clarity.
