Donn Heikkila

Donn is entering his 1st year at the Goalkeeping Director and comes with tons of experience both as a player and coach and has been specializing training goalkeepers for over 30 years.

Donn start his playing career in Massachusetts where he was an All New England keeper at Rockland High Shcool and at Massasoit Community College. After Massasoit, Donn went on to play at D2 powerhouse Keene State, and then continued his playing career in the LASA League. Donn signed a professional contact with the Cape Cod Crusaders of the USL and continued to play with the Worcester Wildfire and Birmingham Grasshoppers.

After finishing his playing career, Donn returned to Massasoit as an assistant for 2 years before joining the staff of Boston University as the Goalkeeper Coach for the Men’s team. He then joined the Wake Forest Men’s Soccer team staff, and after 1 season joined the University of South Carolina Coaching staff where he trained future MLS, Premier League, and US Men’s National Team Goalie, Brad Guzan.

Donn continues to coach and currently is the majority owner of an aviation training company based in CT and runs his own keeper training called Total Torwart. Donn lives with his wife and 2 children in Higganum.
